Inside
With the purpose of embodying the notion of "the body as a prison for the soul" inspired by a quote from Platón describing the body as a prison for the immortal soul, I decided to undertake an art project. The installation I created features a central figure symbolizing the soul, consciousness, though, etc. located within the representation of a human body. The elements are arranged in a way that evokes the interior of the body, while at the same time generating a difficulty for the viewer to approach this initial figure.
The underlying intention is to configure a space that evokes the human anatomy, but in a more somber and oppressive way. It seeks to convey a sense of discomfort that reflects the search for a kind of organic prison.
